Functional Skills is about the practical application of maths and English. This means how you actually use these skills in real life situations.​

This 10 week course is a great chance for those looking to gain their Maths and/or English qualifications.

The skills learnt can help to improve performance, boost confidence and support both business and personal growth.

They are respected qualifications awarded by City and Guilds.​and they are accepted as GCSE A-C (or 4-9) equivalents. ​Completing your functional skills can aid your progression within your current place of work​.

This course is cost-free to learners.

You are eligible if you are over the age of 19 and are either employed or unemployed.

The programme will support you to support you to develop you functional maths skills and take you up to GCSE level.

Topics covered will include:

• Arithmetic division and multiplication
• How to use a calculator appropriately
• Gain a recognised qualification in maths and English
